Nacogdoches Table Tennis is excited about Cole, an up-and-coming 15-year-old para table tennis player, who is making waves in the sport. Despite only starting to play in the spring of 2022, he has already set his sights on joining the US Paralympic table tennis team. In July 2023, Cole will obtain international classification and participate in the US Para Table Tennis Open in Fort Worth, Texas. He will also participate in team trials for the upcoming Pan American games, which will take place in the fall of 2023 in South America.
Cole has been playing at the club for over a year, every Monday and Wednesday or Thursday nights. He has received encouragement and training from longtime club members, including the founder Robert Payne. To prepare for the international tournament, Cole will do additional training in Dallas.
Cole's dedication and hard work have not gone unnoticed. His progress has been impressive, and the table tennis community is excited to see what he can achieve in the future. We wish Cole all the best in his journey to becoming a top para table tennis player, and we will be cheering him on every step of the way.
We always welcome new players and meet regularly on Monday's and usually Thursday's at the R.L. Simon Recreation Center in Nacogdoches, Texas from 4-8:30 pm. The cost is $2/player for each session.
